In February 2009, the Municipality of Larnaca applied within the context of the declaration of the European Commission Delegation in Cyprus for the establishment of the Europe Direct Larnaca Information Centre (The Centre). The positive outcome of the proposal led to the operation of the Centre as of June 1st, 2009.
